Molten and Soccer Shop KAMO Donate Assembled Soccer Ball “BALL KIT” to Children's Home in Tachikawa City

Molten and Soccer Shop KAMO have been working together to deliver “BALL KIT” assembled soccer balls to various facilities using a portion of the proceeds from sales of Molten products at Soccer Shop KAMO. As the second such activity, employees of Soccer Shop KAMO and Molten visited an orphanage in Tachikawa City.

”BALL KIT” is an airless soccer ball that bridges the experience gap for children and is an excellent educational kit. It is a product of “MY FOOTBALL KIT,” a program in which companies and organizations that consider contributing to society contribute to the SDGs by delivering a variety of experiences to all children.

From September 2024, “BALL KIT” will be used in the “LONG PASS PROJECT ”* conducted by Soccer Shop KAMO.

*...Activities for the future of the earth. Soccer Shop KAMO is involved in eco initiatives and efforts to support women's soccer.

About this activity

As our second support activity, we delivered “BALL KIT” to elementary school students who belong to a soccer club at an orphanage in Tachikawa, Tokyo.

The people from Soccer Shop KAMO and Molten employees visited the site. The children assembled the “BALL KIT” with their own hands and enjoyed playing soccer together with their own “BALL KIT,” on which they drew their own names and favorite illustrations.

Toshihide Kazama, Director of a children's home in Tachikawa, Tokyo, comments

It was impressive to see the children working hard and enjoying themselves throughout the event. Even the children who took a long time to assemble the puzzle were patient and concentrated on it without giving up halfway through, and they were so absorbed in the process of building it. After the assembly, the children played soccer with KAMO and Molten staff, and I think it was a great experience for them.

Tatsuya Nakata, Soccer Shop KAMO, Harajuku, comments

This was my first time participating in this activity and I felt close to the children's sensitivity and sense of accomplishment. It was a very good experience. I myself have been allowed to grow through soccer, and I will never forget this feeling. I would like to continue to do my best, starting with the store operations that are close to me, so that we can continue these activities in the future.

It was a wonderful experience that delivered an opportunity for children to grow.
